This figure workshop will focus on the two crucial phases in the development of a drawing. David will demonstrate, and help students practice, the ‘blocking-in’ phase of creating a drawing using big, flat, geometric shapes. Students will then move to more conceptual methods including planar perspective and divisions of the human anatomy to ‘flesh-out’ the individual features of the model. No matter what kind of figurative art you create a good understanding of the basic techniques used is crucial to its development.
Saturday, June 4. 10-4pm. $95, supplies needed, lunch provided!
