ESCODA - MARFIL
Escoda's Marfil series offers the perfect imitation of the hog bristle, proven by the stiffness of the filament and the amazing response of each stroke. The ivory ("marfil" in Spanish) fibers go through a curing process to give them their great elasticity and the best shape possible. They are long lasting, durable brushes great for both beginners and experienced painters. Though they are just as tough as Hogs bristle brushes, they are much smoother to provide solid, consistent strokes.
Escoda has a strong belief that the brush as a tool is as important to an artist as the pen is to a writer or the chisel to a sculptor. They make high quality brushes without compromise to materials or the time required so that each brush will respond the way an artist imagines it should. Escoda has incorporated various synthetic filaments that have been well received by artists throughout the world. This imitation of the natural bristle has been one of the latest fashions in synthetics. The fiber's thickness is similar enough and ample enough to a natural bristle to provide a brushstroke that is both soft yet tough.
