LANDSCAPE ESSENTIALS WITH MARC HANSON
This is a 3-day outdoor oil painting workshop for intermediate to advanced painters. We will paint in the field, incorporating instruction and practice, to help you move forward in your approach to the challenges that plein air painting presents. Each day will include lecture, demonstration, and practice, the three ingredients to effective learning. We will cover the so-called “basic” elements and techniques. I prefer to call these “critical” elements. Drawing, Value, Color, Composition, and Edges… all go into a package called “CONCEPT," the foundation for any painting.
You will come away from this workshop with a portfolio of valuable exercises that you can refer to again and again as you continue to develop as a painter.
Thursday - Saturday, September 14 - 16. 10am - 4pm, $495, supplies needed, lunch provided!
