
The Birmingham Art Alliance is a new organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant and diverse artistic landscape of Birmingham, Alabama. We welcome artists and makers of all mediums to connect, collaborate, and share their creative voices with the community.
We are excited to host a temporary pop-up exhibition, located next to Forstall Art Center at 219 20th Street North.

Birmingham Art Alliance General Member Application

The annual membership fee is $75. This membership fee guarantees inclusion in at least one show annually (members still must apply for shows.) This membership also includes a 25% discount on retail art supplies at Forstall Art Center (exceptions and exclusions apply.) Thanks again.
Birmingham Art Alliance Show Application (October 2025)
Thank you for your interest in the Birmingham Art Alliance's Curated Shows. If you have any questions or concerns, please email bhamartalliance@gmail.com.- Deadline in Friday, September 26, 2025 at 9 PM.
- We will announce who is accepted on Monday, September 29, 2025.
- Art must be delivered to Forstall Art Center from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday, September 29 through Wednesday, October 1 or by scheduled appointment.
- The show will open on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
- The show will stay up until Monday, October 27, 2025.
- Artists must pick up their art between Monday, October 27 and Monday, November 3, 2025.
- In order to submit a show application, you must first submit a general member application.
- You can submit two pieces with the maximum dimension or 30 inches, or one piece with the maximum dimension of 40 inches.
- We are accepting the following mediums for the show:
- 2D art (oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, printmaking, photography, etc.)
- Sculpture (clay, metal, wood, etc.)
- Jewelry
- Clothing will not be accepted for this show.
- 30 to 40 artists will be accepted to this show. Participants will be decided by first come, first serve AND curation.
- Artist must be at least 18 years old.
- Art MUST be: wired, signed and ready to hang.
- Canvas pieces must have edges painted.
- Paper pieces must be framed.
- Sculptures must be complete and display ready.
- Jewelry must come with a display or a box.
- Art MUST be able to be sold.
- The Birmingham Art Alliance will take a 20% cut of all art sold.
- Artists must commit to being at the opening on Friday, October 27 for at least one hour. If you do not show up, you will not be invited to show again, excluded emergency situations that are communicated appropriately.
- We highly encourage artists to provide business cards.
