Join local artist Marcia Hodges for a fun, interactive class that is open to all levels of students. Whether you're a beginner who wants to learn how to use the watercolor medium and learn some basic painting principles, or if you're familiar with watercolor and want exposure to various mixed media materials that can be utilized to enhance paintings, this class is perfect for you! Watercolor painting techniques will be taught through demonstration. This will be a limited class with hands-on guidance and individual attention. A group critique will be provided at the end of each class for positive feedback and suggestions.

Week one - Floral still life
Week two - Cardinals and birds
Week three - Abstract and floral bookmarks
Week four - Fall scene

Supplies:
- Watercolor paint (you are also welcome to use a pan set instead of tubes)
- Cadmium Yellow
- Cadmium Red or Scarlet Lake
- Ultramarine Blue
- Sap green
- Quinacridone Rose
- Alizarin Crimson
- Watercolor paper, 11x14, cold press - this can be a large sheet cut into 4 pieces or a pad (I will provide the pre-cut bookmarks for week 3)
- Watercolor brushes (I use Silver Black Velvet) sizes 12 and 6
- Paper towels
- Palette
- #2 pencil
- Gum eraser
