Unlock your artistic potential in this hands-on, beginner-friendly acrylic painting class! Over four weeks, you'll explore essential tools, techniques, and creative concepts to build confidence and skill in acrylic painting.
Week 1: Tools & Materials – Get familiar with acrylic supplies, from paints and brushes to palettes and substrates. Experiment with different tools to understand their impact on your work.
Week 2: Basic Techniques – Learn fundamental painting techniques, including wet-on-wet, layering, glazing, and dry brush effects. Have fun exploring splatter and drip techniques!
Week 3: Color Theory – Master the color wheel, warm vs. cool tones, and color schemes like complementary and analogous. Practice mixing colors to create depth and harmony.
Week 4: Composition – Discover composition principles such as the “golden rectangle” and contrast vs. harmony. Apply these concepts to transform a photo into a well-balanced painting.
Each week includes a guided painting project to reinforce what you've learned. Whether you're a total beginner or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a supportive space to create, explore, and have fun with acrylics!
