Join local book artist Victoria Findley for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create a one-of-a-kind handmade book from start to finish. Begin by designing expressive, layered covers using acrylic paints and inks while exploring mixed media techniques such as mark-making, stenciling, and collage.

Once your covers are complete, you’ll learn how to transform them into a beautifully bound book using the French link stitch over tapes—a classic binding method known for its strength and striking exposed spine detail.

Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this workshop offers a welcoming, creative environment where you’ll leave with a finished handmade book and the skills to continue creating at home.

What you’ll learn:
• Layering acrylic paints and inks for dynamic, contemporary covers
• Mixed media techniques for texture, depth, and visual interest
• How to sew a French link stitch over tapes
• Assembling painted covers into a cohesive, handbound book

UPDATED CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of the workshop will receive a refund equal to 50% of the cost of the class. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will not receive a refund. This will help ensure that the instructor will be paid for their time and effort of teaching the workshop.
